Yes released Close To The Edge in 1972 on Atlantic Records as their fifth studio album, following the critical and commercial momentum of Fragile. The band regrouped with producer and engineer Eddy Offord, a key collaborator in shaping this ambitious early-’70s progressive rock period. Its long-form structure and art-rock scale make it one of the defining Yes albums from the classic prog era. This vintage 1972 vinyl pressing gives buyers a period copy of a major Yes vinyl LP without calling it a vintage pressing.
