Notably, his 1959 album "Kind of Blue" remains one of the best-selling jazz albums, featuring timeless tracks like "So What" and "All Blues." Throughout his career, Davis's influence extended beyond jazz into rock, funk, and hip-hop, showcasing his versatility as an artist. His legacy was further cemented when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006. Miles Davis passed away on September 28, 1991, at the age of 65, leaving behind a profound impact on the music world that continues to resonate today.
