Arlo Guthrie- Alice's Restaurant-LP

Arlo Guthrie – Alice's Restaurant

Alice's Restaurant introduced Arlo Guthrie on record in 1967, and its long-form talking-blues centerpiece, "Alice's Restaurant Massacree," remains the album's calling card. Issued by Reprise, the debut connected folk storytelling with late-'60s counterculture humor in a way that kept the record selling steadily after its first run. Fred Hellerman's production keeps the focus on Guthrie's material, with shorter pieces like "Chilling of the Evening" and "The Motorcycle Song" rounding out the set beyond the famous title narrative. This is a 1969 vinyl pressing, giving you a vintage copy tied closely to the album’s original era. The record is graded VG, so expect more visible wear and possible background noise, while the music should remain the focus. At $10, this is an affordable Arlo Guthrie vinyl copy with a lot of album significance for the price.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
