Bananarama’s 1986 album Venus marks a vibrant chapter in the trio’s career, blending their distinctive pop sensibility with the polished production of Stock Aitken Waterman, Phil Bishop, and Pat Seymour. The title track "Venus" stands out as a confident reimagining of the classic, its catchy hooks and driving beat embodying the mid-80s dance-pop energy that helped define the era. Alongside tracks like "White Train," the album offers focused listening moments where the group's harmonies and the producers’ sleek arrangements intersect neatly, reflecting a compact ensemble approach rather than sprawling production. This 1986 vinyl pressing delivers that era’s sound in a format that invites attentive play, housed under the banners of Metronome and London Records. The vinyl itself is in VG++ condition, showing a glossy surface with only minor, light marks that won’t interfere with your listening. It’s the kind of pressing that balances well between playability and preservation, giving you clear access to the album’s catchy rhythms without fuss. A fair warning: Bananarama’s world here is all about bright hooks and crisp pop, so if you’re after something more subdued, this might not be the quiet corner of the collection.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
