Paranoid is Black Sabbath’s second studio album, the record that put much of their early heavy metal identity into sharp focus. Originally released in 1970 and produced by Rodger Bain, it includes “War Pigs / Luke’s Wall,” “Paranoid,” and “Iron Man,” three songs that remain central to the band’s catalog and to hard rock’s move into heavier territory. This copy is a 1978 Netherlands import on NEMS, a nice vintage vinyl pressing for someone who wants a period copy with a little import appeal rather than a later modern edition. At $48, the main attraction here is the combination of a cornerstone Sabbath album and unusually strong vinyl condition. Graded NM, the record looks almost untouched, with a glossy, clean surface and no visible lines, scuffs, or sleeve marks noted.
