Bobby Krane And His Orchestra’s I Remember Tommy & Jimmy Dorsey pays tribute to two giants of the swing era with a set of carefully arranged acoustic pieces suited for attentive listening. The album revisits classics like "I'm Getting Sentimental Over You" and "Jeannie With The Light Brown Hair," offering a refined, small-ensemble interpretation that leans into subtlety rather than big-band bombast. It’s an album that invites you to lean in, the kind of record where the quiet moments hold just as much sway as the melodies themselves. This particular vinyl pressing comes in a solid VG+ condition, meaning it should play well with only minor surface marks and the occasional light scuff not overshadowing the music. Though details about the pressing year are unclear, the record’s straightforward presentation makes it a practical choice for those who appreciate focused, acoustic arrangements without the clutter of flashy production. It’s not every day you find a tribute album that treats its source material with such a gentle touch—proof that sometimes, remembering is an art form in itself.
