Recorded during their 1978 performances in Japan, this album includes punchy renditions of "I Want You to Want Me" and "Surrender," songs that showcase the group’s knack for melding power-pop hooks with rock grit. This 1979 pressing on vinyl offers a solid listen for those who want to hear that live spark without the fuss of hunting down a pristine collector’s item. The record grades VG+ with some light surface marks typical of regular play but nothing that should interfere with your enjoyment. It’s a durable choice for anyone looking to add a spirited live album to their collection, especially one that reflects the band’s early years with energy and clarity. If live albums had a stage dive, this one might just take the leap. Cheap Trick. Cheap Trick At Budokan.
