Chicago – Greatest Hits

This 1975 vintage vinyl pressing of Chicago's Greatest Hits captures the band's signature blend of rock, jazz, and pop elements that defined their sound in the early 1970s. Formed in Chicago in 1967, the group distinguished themselves as a "rock and roll band with horns," integrating brass arrangements with rock rhythms. Vocal duties were shared among members Peter Cetera, Terry Kath, and Robert Lamm, contributing to the band's dynamic and layered sound. By the time of this release, percussionist Laudir de Oliveira had joined, adding further rhythmic complexity. The vinyl is graded VG+, indicating minor hairline marks and some wear but overall good playability with only light background noise. This compilation showcases the diverse styles Chicago explored, from soft rock ballads to jazz-rock fusion.
