Steely Dan – Aja

Aja is Steely Dan’s sixth studio album, released in 1977 on ABC Records, and it became the band’s most commercially successful release. Produced by longtime Steely Dan producer Gary Katz, it’s the record where the band’s rock songwriting and jazz vocabulary are especially tightly linked, with Wayne Shorter among the notable players alongside Donald Fagen and Walter Becker. That mix of meticulous writing, pop accessibility, and jazz-rock reach is a big part of why Aja remains one of the central Steely Dan albums. This $38 copy is a 1977 Terre Haute vinyl pressing, giving it nice vintage-era appeal without making any unsupported claims beyond the pressing information. The record is graded VG++, a very clean used grade: expect glossy vinyl with only very small light marks, faint lines, or sleeve scuffs rather than major condition concerns. For a core Steely Dan title in strong vinyl condition, this is a well-kept copy with the right period pressing context.
