Cream – Wheels of Fire

Wheels of Fire brings Cream’s studio work and live power together on a two-disc album, a big part of why it remains one of the band’s most distinctive records. It was Cream’s third album and became the first double album to reach platinum status in the United States, giving it real historical weight beyond the familiar blues-rock and psychedelic-rock tags. The studio material includes “White Room” and “Politician,” while the live disc shows how much the band’s reputation rested on extended stage interplay. This is a 1968 double-vinyl pressing priced at $20, a period copy with the album’s original-era format intact. Martin Sharp’s artwork is also part of the appeal, tying the package visually to Cream’s late-’60s psychedelic moment. Both records are graded VG-, so expect noticeably worn vinyl with more surface noise than higher-grade copies; the draw here is a complete vintage copy of a major Cream title at a price that reflects the condition.
