England Dan – Dowdy Ferry Street

England Dan & John Ford Coley’s Dowdy Ferry Road came out in 1977, right in the duo’s smooth pop-rock period. The title points back to a real road in southeastern Dallas, a small Texas detail that gives the album a bit of place beyond its radio-friendly setting. One of its Parker McGee-written songs also traveled well after this release, later being recorded by both Barry Manilow and The Carpenters. This vintage vinyl pressing is priced at $10, making it an affordable copy of a late-’70s England Dan & John Ford Coley record. The record is graded VG++, a very clean used-vinyl grade: glossy overall, with only very small light marks, sleeve scuffs, or faint lines expected. Nice condition and a low price make this a friendly pickup for anyone filling in the softer pop-rock side of the shelf. Dowdy Ferry Street.
