George Shearing - You're Hearing - LP

• Format: LP

You're Hearin, a 1955 reissue from MGM Records, offers a window into George Shearing's refined jazz quintet sound, where classical technique meets improvisational flair. The album reflects MGM’s 1950s dedication to presenting jazz with clarity and style. Shearing’s approach often balances intricate piano lines with subtle group interplay—a sound that invites attentive listening rather than background noise. This vinyl pressing comes in very good plus condition, meaning the grooves show a glossy finish with only minor, faint surface marks that won’t detract from playback. It’s a neat piece for those who appreciate the era’s jazz reissues or want a solid example of Shearing’s work without the fuss of hunting down a first pressing. Records like this remind us that sometimes hearing is believing, even if the album’s title plays a gentle trick on your expectations. Unknown Artist.
