Jethro Tull – Stormwatch

Stormwatch is Jethro Tull’s twelfth studio album, released in 1979 and often viewed as the closing chapter in the band’s late-’70s folk-rock trio after Songs from the Wood and Heavy Horses. Its environmental, climate, and seaside themes give it a distinct identity within the group’s progressive rock catalog, with Ian Anderson’s Isle of Skye connection feeding into the album’s setting and concerns. Produced by Ian Anderson and Robin Black, the record also has an unusual personnel wrinkle: Glascock’s playing is largely absent because of medical issues, with Anderson handling bass on all but three tracks. This copy is a 1979 club edition Jethro Tull Stormwatch vinyl pressing, a vintage vinyl LP from a particularly interesting stretch of the band’s career. At under $15, this is an affordable Jethro Tull vinyl record, graded VG++, with glossy, very clean vinyl and only very small light marks, sleeve scuffs, or faint lines expected.
