Jethro Tull – Thick as a Brick

Jethro Tull’s Thick as a Brick turns the album-length concept into a joke on itself, with Ian Anderson’s lyrics satirizing concept albums while still carrying social bite. The record is built as one continuous piece, “Thick as a Brick,” split across the two sides of the original vinyl format, which is a big part of its prog-rock reputation. Anderson also produced the album, putting the band’s vocalist and flautist squarely at the center of its vision. It was successful far beyond cult prog circles, topping the Billboard 200 on release. This copy is a 1972 vintage vinyl pressing, a nice period-format match for an album designed around two full sides. The record is graded VG+, so expect a few light lines, sleeve marks, or small scuffs, but not wear that should dominate the music. At $12, it’s an affordable Jethro Tull copy with real album significance and useful everyday condition.
