Joe Cocker – Joe Cocker

Joe Cocker’s self-titled second album puts his interpretive voice front and center, taking on material associated with Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Leonard Cohen, and Leon Russell rather than leaning on a standard rock set. Produced by Denny Cordell and Leon Russell, it also features the Grease Band, including Chris Stainton and Henry McCullough, giving the record a close connection to Cocker’s late-1960s creative circle. The album was recorded in Hollywood at A&M and Sunset Sound, tying it neatly to the Los Angeles music scene of the moment. This is a 1969 vintage vinyl pressing priced at $14. The record is graded VG+, a solid everyday grade where a few light lines, sleeve marks, or small scuffs may be present, but not wear that should dominate the music. At under $15, it’s an affordable Joe Cocker copy with strong album appeal and honest used-vinyl condition.
