John Kay – All In Good Time

All In Good Time gave John Kay—Steppenwolf’s lead vocalist and primary songwriter—his debut solo album in 1978. The record keeps a rock foundation while bringing in folk influence, putting more focus on Kay’s own songwriting and distinctive vocal style outside the Steppenwolf setting. Issued on MCA Records, it’s a worthwhile late-’70s John Kay title, with tracks such as “Give Me Some News I Can Use” and “Business Is Business” adding to the album’s direct solo identity. This is a 1978 vinyl pressing. At $14, it’s an affordable John Kay vinyl copy with appealing vintage context. The record is graded VG++, a very clean grade for used vinyl, with glossy surfaces and only very small light marks, sleeve scuffs, or faint lines expected.
