Kurt Vile’s God Is Saying This To You is an early studio album from his Mexican Summer period, originally released in 2009 as a limited vinyl release. It gathers home-recorded material made before Constant Hitmaker, so it has a raw, lo-fi character that points straight to the loose, intimate side of his songwriting. The record also shows Vile’s habit of recycling and reshaping lyrical ideas, a thread that would continue into later work. This copy is a new pressing at $24 and is still sealed in its original shrink wrap. The record condition is graded SEALED, so it has not been opened or handled as a used copy, making it a nice clean option for hearing one of Vile’s scrappier early statements on new vinyl.
