Copy notes: This is a LOWER grade VG+. It plays fine, but is not the prettiest disc.

Larry Coryell’s Barefoot Boy offers a compelling blend of acoustic guitar artistry and jazz fusion sensibilities, inviting comparisons to peers like John McLaughlin and Pat Metheny. Tracks such as "Gypsy Queen" and "Call To The Higher Consciousness" showcase a thoughtful, focused listening experience that sits comfortably alongside the work of Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock. The album’s intimate small ensemble setting highlights Coryell’s nuanced playing, making it a notable entry for anyone interested in the crossroads of jazz improvisation and acoustic textures. This 1971 vinyl pressing holds up well with a VG+ condition, meaning you can expect some light surface marks or paper scuffs that won’t overshadow the music itself. It’s a solid vintage pressing for those who appreciate the tactile and auditory character of early ’70s jazz fusion on vinyl. A record like this reminds you that sometimes, the subtleties in the grooves matter more than the loudest solos—perfect for digging deeper into Coryell’s acoustic explorations without the usual electrified fanfare.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
