Maxine Nightingale’s Right Back Where We Started From offers a collection that invites focused listening, blending acoustic textures with a small ensemble feel. The title track, “Right Back Where We Started From,” stands out as a buoyant, soulful tune that helped define Nightingale’s sound. Alongside it, songs like “Possess You” and “If I Ever Lose This Heaven” highlight her warm vocal delivery and the album’s intimate arrangement style, ideal for those who appreciate finely crafted, relaxed grooves rather than bombast. This 1976 pressing brings the music to vinyl with care, presenting a mostly acoustic lineup that suits listeners seeking a more nuanced, less crowded sound. The record is graded VG++, which means the vinyl shows a glossy surface with only minor, light paper scuffs or faint lines that shouldn’t affect playback noticeably. It’s the kind of pressing that lets you hear the detail in Nightingale’s voice without distraction—proof that sometimes going back where you started can sound refreshingly new.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
