Michael Pinder – The Promise

Michael Pinder’s The Promise is his 1976 solo album, made during The Moody Blues’ 1974–1977 hiatus and released on the band’s Threshold label. That timing gives the record extra interest for Moody Blues listeners, catching Pinder in a solo setting while the group was between chapters. Recorded at his Indigo Ranch Studios in Malibu, the album moves through rock and progressive rock material with Pinder composing all but one of its nine tracks. At under $15, this is an affordable Michael Pinder vinyl LP with a direct connection to the Moody Blues orbit. This 1976 vinyl pressing is graded VG++, meaning the record is glossy and very clean overall, with only one or two tiny light marks, sleeve scuffs, or faint lines expected.
