Mike Viola- Rock Of Boston-LP

Mike Viola – Rock Of Boston

Mike Viola’s Rock Of Boston arrived in 2024 as his eighth studio album, released through Good Morning Monkey Records, Grand Phony, and Lojinx. Recorded during the winter of 2023 at Viola’s Barebones home studio in Los Angeles, the album was made using ½” tape and brings his power-pop and alternative rock instincts into a compact 11-track set. Brendon Urie plays drums and Jake Sinclair plays bass, giving the record a tight trio framework around Viola’s songwriting. The title track “Rock of Boston” anchors the album’s identity, while cuts like “Brian Myers You're No Cherry Garcia,” “The Bansch,” and “Diamonds of New York” point to Viola’s sharp, character-rich songcraft. Viola’s wider résumé as a producer, musician, songwriter, and singer includes work connected to artists such as Dawes, Panic! at the Disco, Andrew Bird, Mandy Moore, and Jenny Lewis, which gives this LP extra appeal for listeners who follow modern power pop and songwriter-driven rock. This 2024 vinyl pressing is SEALED in its original shrink wrap, making it a clean, unopened copy for buyers who want Rock Of Boston on vinyl.
