The Best Of Shirley Temple Vol. II offers a charming glimpse into the multifaceted career of Shirley Temple, who first captured hearts as Hollywood’s top child star in the 1930s before moving on to roles as a singer, dancer, and even diplomat. This collection brings together a selection of her more focused listening moments, featuring acoustic ensemble arrangements that highlight her gentle vocal style on tracks like "Baby, Take A Bow," "At The Codfish Ball," and "Be Optimistic." While Shirley’s early fame was built on her film performances, this album presents her musical side with warmth and accessible simplicity—proof that she wasn't just a pint-sized powerhouse but also had a knack for melody. Pressed in 1965, this vinyl record offers a vintage snapshot of Shirley’s musical legacy well after her child star days, making it an interesting piece for those who appreciate mid-century pop culture artifacts. The record is in very clean condition with only minor, light surface marks typical for its age, so it’s ready to spin without fuss. If you’re stocking a shelf near classic vocal pop or enjoy a slice of Hollywood history beyond the silver screen, this pressing balances nostalgia and musical charm with a neat acoustic touch—no codfish balls required.
