The Graduate soundtrack brings together Simon & Garfunkel’s unmistakable vocals and Dave Grusin’s understated arrangements, weaving a focused, acoustic tapestry that complements the film’s mood with subtlety and grace. Featuring timeless pieces like "The Sound Of Silence" and "Mrs. Robinson," the album balances familiar folk melodies with instrumental interludes such as "Sunporch Cha-Cha-Cha" and "On The Strip," offering a varied listening experience anchored in intimate ensemble playing. It’s a soundtrack that rewards attentive ears, where each track feels thoughtfully placed to reflect the film’s nuanced emotions. This 1968 pressing arrives in very clean shape with only minor, faint paper scuffs that don’t affect playback, making it a solid choice for anyone looking to add a vintage soundtrack to their collection. The vinyl’s glossy surface suggests careful handling over the years, and the record’s focused acoustic character fits nicely alongside folk and soundtrack sections. If you’re after a record that’s as much about mood-setting as melody, this one’s got the right mix—after all, it’s rare for a soundtrack to double as a quiet companion for your own story.
