Simon and Garfunkel's Greatest Hits gathers the duo’s most enduring folk-rock songs, including "The Sound Of Silence," "Mrs. Robinson," and "Bridge Over Troubled Water," a track that often feels like the musical equivalent of a well-placed umbrella on a rainy day. This collection highlights Paul Simon’s songwriting craftsmanship and the pair’s signature vocal harmonies, supported by subtle string arrangements from Ernie Freeman and Jimmie Haskell, with production shared among Art Garfunkel, Paul Simon, Roy Halee, and others. The album artwork by Bill Silano complements the music’s reflective mood, offering a visual cue to the thoughtful listening experience within. This 1972 Columbia pressing on vinyl presents the songs with clarity and care, making it a solid document of their peak years. The record is graded VG++, indicating a glossy surface with only minor, light marks that shouldn’t interfere with playback. It’s a reliable choice for anyone who appreciates the blend of acoustic intimacy and polished studio touches that define this collection. If you’re arranging your shelves by song titles, “The 59th Street Bridge Song” might be the perfect spot to slip this one in.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
