Winwood captures a moment in time that threads through the careers of several giants of rock and blues, making this compilation a curious waypoint for fans of Traffic, Eric Clapton, or Jethro Tull. Though originally released without Stevie Winwood's authorization, the album’s reissue smoothed over legal wrinkles with minor adjustments, offering a snapshot of his work that invites comparison to the soulful intensity of Joe Cocker and the textured soundscapes of Fleetwood Mac. There’s a subtle irony in a record named after its star being a bit of a wildcard in his catalog, but that’s part of its offbeat charm. This 1971 pressing comes on vinyl in very good-plus condition, boasting clean, glossy surfaces with only faint paper scuffs here and there—nothing that should distract from the listening experience. While the exact pressing details are a bit of a mystery, the record’s clarity and presentation make it a solid candidate for anyone intrigued by Winwood’s broader musical circle. It’s a neat piece for collectors who appreciate the quirks of rock history and the occasional unauthorized detour. Winwood - Vinyl, LP, Compilation.
