Traffic emerged from Birmingham in April 1967, initially captivating audiences with their blend of psychedelic rock and jazz influences. The original lineup, consisting of Jim Capaldi, Steve Winwood, Chris Wood, and Dave Mason, quickly made a mark with their debut album, Mr. Fantasy, featuring memorable tracks like "Paper Sun" and "Hole in My Shoe." In 1968, they released their self-titled album, which included the well-known song "Feelin' Alright?". After a brief disbandment in early 1969, Traffic reunited in 1970, producing the acclaimed album John Barleycorn Must Die. Their continued innovation led to further successes with albums such as The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys and Shoot Out at the Fantasy Factory. In recognition of their influential contributions to music, Traffic was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
