The 5th Dimension- The Age Of Aquarius-LP

• Format: LP

The Age of Aquarius by The 5th Dimension stands out as a vivid snapshot of late '60s pop and soul, blending intricate arrangements by Bill Holman and Bob Alcivar with the polished production of Dayton “Bones” Howe. Its mix of focused listening tracks like "Medley: Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In" and "Workin' On A Groovy Thing" showcases the group's versatility, moving from lush harmonies to more rhythm-driven moments. The album’s artwork, shaped by Ron Wolin and Boyd Clapton, adds a visual flair that complements the era’s vibrant spirit without overshadowing the music. This 1969 vinyl pressing brings the album to your turntable with a respectable VG grade, meaning you can expect some signs of use and potential background noise, but it remains fully playable. For collectors or listeners drawn to this period’s soulful pop, it offers a solid way to explore The 5th Dimension’s sound in a classic format. While not flawless, this record holds its own and reminds us that sometimes, a few grooves of wear just mean the music has been appreciated before—proof that even vinyl has stories to tell beyond the songs.
