The Bar-Kays’ 1972 album *Do You See What I See?* captures a pivotal moment as the band deepened their funk roots while weaving in soulful vocals, a shift that followed the tragic loss of their original lineup. The title track, "Do You See What I See?," pairs tight grooves with thoughtful lyrics, while their take on Stevie Wonder’s "I Was Made To Love Her" showcases their flair for reimagining classics with a fresh, rhythmic pulse. This album reflects not only The Bar-Kays’ resilience but also their evolving sound during a transformative era in funk. This pressing from 1972 offers a genuine slice of that period’s energy on vinyl. The record condition is VG, meaning it plays well but carries some visible wear and may include a bit of background noise, which is typical for a well-loved copy of this age. The LP’s format holds its own with a straightforward presentation, making it a solid choice for those interested in the band’s growth or collectors who appreciate funk’s textured history. After all, not every record can see what you see and still keep pace with the groove. Kays* - Do You See What I See? - Vinyl, LP, Album.
