Emotional Rescue finds The Rolling Stones navigating the early ’80s with a blend of rock rhythms and a dash of disco-inflected grooves, notably on the title track "Emotional Rescue." The album features the distinctive harmonica work of Sugar Blue, adding a bluesy edge that contrasts with the danceable beats of songs like "Dance" and "Summer Romance." Peter Corriston and Roy Adzak’s artwork complements the music’s eclectic energy, offering a visual that’s as bold as the band’s sound during this period. Produced by The Glimmer Twins with Chris Kimsey’s engineering expertise, the album balances classic rock swagger with a willingness to explore new textures. This 1980 Rolling Stones Records vinyl pressing presents the album in its familiar LP format, making it a straightforward addition for those interested in this phase of the band’s catalog. The record’s VG condition means it shows some signs of wear and may include background noise, but remains fully playable—think of it as a seasoned traveler who’s still ready for the road. For collectors or listeners curious about the Stones’ blend of focused rock and dance rhythms, this pressing offers a reasonably clear window into that moment. It’s a vinyl that wears its history without trying to rewrite it.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
