Van Halen’s 1984 is the band’s sixth studio album and the last record from the original David Lee Roth era before his long break from the group. Recorded at Eddie Van Halen’s own 5150 Studios, it caught the band pushing beyond straight hard rock, with synthesizers taking a much bigger role while the band’s arena-scale energy stayed intact. The cherub-with-cigarette cover also gave the album a visual identity that stirred plenty of attention when it arrived. This is a vintage 1984 vinyl pressing with a hype sticker, a nice period detail for one of the most recognizable Van Halen titles. The record is graded VG+, so expect a strong everyday playing copy with some light lines, sleeve marks, or small scuffs possible, but not wear that should dominate the music. At $40, the stickered period pressing and solid VG+ vinyl are the copy-specific appeal.
