Weather Report- Sweetnighter-LP

Weather Report – Sweetnighter

Sweetnighter was recorded over five days in February 1973, catching Weather Report during the band’s early jazz-fusion years. Weather Report was active from 1970 to 1986, with Joe Zawinul and Wayne Shorter at the center of the group’s early identity. The band’s standard quintet format paired them with bass, drums, and percussion, while Zawinul’s use of synthesizer textures helped separate their music from more traditional jazz settings. Running 44 minutes and 35 seconds, Sweetnighter is a focused early-’70s fusion LP from a group still pushing at the edges of jazz and rock. At under $15, this is an affordable Weather Report vinyl record with strong appeal for anyone exploring their early catalog. This 1973 vinyl pressing is graded VG++, with glossy vinyl that looks fantastic overall and only one or two very small light marks, sleeve scuffs, or faint lines expected.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
