Whitney Houston – Whitney

Whitney Houston’s Whitney arrived on June 2, 1987 as her second studio album, following her blockbuster 1985 debut Whitney Houston. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, making Houston the first female artist to open an album at the top of that chart. Produced by Narada Michael Walden and Michael Masser, with contributions from Kashif and John “Jellybean” Benitez, the album places Houston’s voice in a polished pop setting rooted in soul and funk. The track list includes major Whitney staples such as “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” “Didn’t We Almost Have It All,” “So Emotional,” and “Love Will Save the Day.” Guest appearances from Kenny G and Roy Ayers add extra late-’80s studio pedigree to this Whitney vinyl LP. This 1987 vinyl pressing is graded VG++, with glossy vinyl that looks fantastic overall and only one or two very small light marks, sleeve scuffs, or faint lines expected.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
