ABC’s The Lexicon of Love made a splash in 1982 with its sophisticated blend of pop sensibility and lush arrangements, setting it apart from the synth-heavy trends of the era. As their debut, it introduced a polished yet intimate sound, shaped by a compact ensemble that balances electronic elements with orchestral touches. This album’s success was immediate, topping charts in the UK, New Zealand, and Finland, and it remains a defining statement in early '80s pop, noted for its stylish production and focused listening appeal. This 1982 vinyl pressing offers a chance to hear The Lexicon of Love as it was first presented, with the clarity and detail that the format invites. The record itself is in VG++ condition, meaning the surface is glossy and exceptionally clean, showing only minor paper scuffs or faint lines that shouldn’t affect playback. For anyone looking to explore ABC’s sophisticated pop craft or add a well-preserved early '80s album to their collection, this pressing presents a strong candidate—after all, it’s not every day you find a debut that so neatly ties romance and rhythm into a neat vinyl bow.
