Bruce Springsteen – Darkness on the Edge of Town

Darkness on the Edge of Town followed Bruce Springsteen’s breakthrough Born to Run and became a major Columbia-era statement, reaching No. 5 on the US Billboard 200. Recorded in New York with the E Street Band, the album was co-produced by Springsteen and Jon Landau, with Steven Van Zandt assisting, and includes durable Springsteen songs like “Badlands,” “Racing in the Street,” and “The Promised Land.” The Frank Stefanko cover photo, taken at Springsteen’s New Jersey home, adds a personal, unvarnished touch to the package. This 1978 vinyl pressing is priced at $18 and has the appeal of a same-year vintage copy. The record is graded VG+, meaning a few light lines, sleeve marks, or small scuffs may be present, but not wear that should dominate the music. A nicely priced vintage copy of one of Springsteen’s defining late-’70s albums.
