Cat Stevens- Tea For The Tillerman-LP

• Format: LP

Cat Stevens’ Tea for the Tillerman stands as a quietly profound work that helped define the singer-songwriter’s early sound with its delicate acoustic arrangements and thoughtful storytelling. Songs like "Father & Son" and "Wild World" remain touchstones of the folk-rock canon, blending introspective lyrics with subtle string touches from John Rothstein’s violin and tasteful arrangements by Del Newman. Stevens’ own illustration graces the album art, giving a personal touch that feels as intimate as the music itself. This 1973 pressing offers a solid vintage experience on vinyl, pressed three years after the album’s original release. The record carries a VG+ grade, meaning you can expect some light surface marks or paper scuffs typical of regular use, but nothing that should distract from the listening. It’s a pressing that fits well for those who appreciate focused listening sessions, especially with the album’s gentle dynamics and acoustic ensemble. If you’re after a record that pairs thoughtful songwriting with a quietly distinctive production from Paul Samwell-Smith, this one holds its own—and yes, it’s perfectly suited for those moments when you want to ponder “Where Do The Children Play?” without interruption.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
