Emerson Lake & Palmer’s Brain Salad Surgery stands as a landmark in progressive rock, blending complex arrangements with virtuosic performances. The album journeys through dynamic pieces like “Jerusalem” and the sprawling “Karn Evil 9,” showcasing the group’s ability to merge classical influences with electric energy. For listeners familiar with bands like Yes or Renaissance, this record offers a similarly ambitious take on focused, intricate music, but with a distinctive edge rooted in the trio’s skillful interplay. This 1973 vinyl pressing brings that classic sound to your turntable in a format that reflects the era’s dedication to album art and sonic detail. The record is graded VG+, meaning you can expect a solid listen with only minor surface marks that won’t interfere with the music’s flow. It’s a pressing that fits comfortably in any serious collection, especially for those who appreciate the balance between technical mastery and musical storytelling. If you’re after a record that pairs thoughtful composition with a touch of theatrical flair, this copy of Brain Salad Surgery holds its own without needing to shout about it.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
