Freddy Morgan’s Bunch - A - Banjos offers a thoughtful dive into acoustic banjo music, perfect for listeners who appreciate focused, intimate performances. The album includes charming takes on tunes like "Mister Sandman" and "Tip-Toe Thru The Tulips With Me," weaving traditional melodies with a clear, unhurried approach that highlights the banjo’s bright, percussive voice. It’s a fine example of a small ensemble setting where each string and note carries weight, making it a neat addition for anyone intrigued by nuanced string work beyond the usual bluegrass fare. This 1966 pressing brings the album to vinyl with a glossy surface showing only minor, faint paper scuffs that won’t affect playback. The record’s VG++ condition means you can expect clean sound with very little surface noise, making it a solid choice for both collectors and players. It’s a record that might just inspire you to reconsider the banjo’s place in focused listening—proof that sometimes a bunch of banjos can say a lot without shouting.
