Gil Scott-Heron – Free Will

This vinyl record features Gil Scott-Heron’s *Free Will*, his second studio album originally released in August 1972 on Flying Dutchman Records. Produced by Bob Thiele, the album blends elements of progressive soul and jazz-funk, showcasing Scott-Heron’s distinctive fusion of poetry and music. Tracks like “The Get out of the Ghetto Blues” highlight his socially conscious lyricism set against rich, funk-infused arrangements. Gil Scott-Heron is known for pioneering spoken-word performances that influenced later hip-hop and soul artists. This pressing is a new vinyl edition, still sealed in its original shrink wrap, ensuring pristine condition.
