Raspberries’ 1972 self-titled album captures the band’s knack for crafting power-pop tunes with a strong melodic sense and a rock edge, blending catchy hooks with tight arrangements. Tracks like "Go All The Way" and "I Saw The Light" highlight their ability to balance upbeat energy with memorable songwriting, making this record a notable entry in early ’70s American rock. The album sits comfortably among the work of Scott McCarl, Michael McBride, Dave Smalley, Wally Bryson, and Jim Bonfanti, showcasing their collective chemistry before the group disbanded in the mid-’70s. This pressing from 1972 offers a solid vintage snapshot, presented on vinyl with a clean, glossy surface showing only minor light scuffs typical for a well-kept record of its age. Its VG++ condition means it’s ready for play without the distraction of significant noise or wear. If you’re looking to add a piece that reflects the spirit of early power-pop without the need for a magnifying glass to appreciate its condition, this copy fits the bill — after all, not every record can boast a title as fruitfully straightforward as "Raspberries."
