Sheena Easton's 1981 album You Could Have Been With Me blends intimate songwriting with polished production from Christopher Neil, offering a refined set of focused listening moments. Tracks like "A Little Tenderness" and the title song balance acoustic arrangements with Easton's clear, expressive voice, situating the record comfortably in the early ’80s British pop landscape without relying on overt studio gloss. The album reveals a stage of Easton's career where subtle emotion meets accessible craftsmanship, making it a noteworthy listen for those interested in vocal-driven pop with a thoughtful touch. This pressing from Pitman presents the album on vinyl in a format well suited for those who appreciate the tactile experience of records. The vinyl here is in VG++ condition, which means it plays with only faint marks or light scuffs visible under close inspection, so you can expect a clean sound without distracting surface noise. It’s a pressing that invites you to hear Easton’s blend of intimacy and polish without fuss, perfect for a collection that values clarity alongside character. After all, sometimes the best company is a voice that makes you wonder why the phone lines ever went quiet.
