Sister Rosetta Tharpe – What Are They Doin In HEaven

Sister Rosetta Tharpe’s What Are They Doin In Heaven draws on gospel tradition tied to Charles Albert Tindley’s 1901 hymn about the afterlife and those who have passed on. Tharpe’s work connects gospel with the energy that later listeners also hear alongside soul, making this a nice pickup for anyone interested in sacred music with broader roots-music reach. This copy is a vintage 1970s reissue, which gives it period appeal without making unsupported claims about first-press status. At $18, it is priced as a clean sealed copy rather than a budget beater. The record is still sealed in its original shrink wrap, so the vinyl has not been handled or visually checked inside; the main condition appeal here is the unopened presentation on a vintage gospel reissue.
