Relics Of The Incredible String Band gathers a rich selection of tracks from the Scottish folk group's mid-60s to early 70s period, showcasing their signature blend of whimsical lyricism and eclectic instrumentation. Songs like "A Very Cellular Song" and "The Hedgehog's Song" highlight their inventive approach to folk, mixing playful storytelling with intricate melodies. This compilation offers a window into the band's unique place in the British folk scene, standing alongside contemporaries like Fairport Convention but carving out their own curious niche. You won't find a more poetic entry point into their world, where the pastoral meets the psychedelic in a way that’s as distinctive as the band’s name suggests. This 1971 vinyl pressing presents the album in a 12-inch LP format, a solid choice for collectors interested in that era’s sound and presentation. The vinyl here is in VG++ condition, meaning it’s glossy and very clean with only minor surface marks typical for its age, so you can expect good playback with minimal distractions. It’s a pressing that invites listeners to explore the band's layered textures without fuss, perfect for anyone seeking a dose of folk that’s far from ordinary but never overreaches its charm. If your shelf has room for a bit of the Incredible’s string-bound magic, this copy fits the bill nicely. Relics Of The Incredible String Band - Vinyl, LP, Album, Compilation.
