Copy notes: in shrink with hype sticker

Sister Sledge’s We Are Family stands as a vibrant snapshot of late 1970s disco, crafted under the expert production and arrangement of Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers. The album’s tight blend of funk and soul grooves is anchored by hits like "He's The Greatest Dancer" and the title track "We Are Family," songs that helped define a celebratory spirit with polished strings led by concertmaster Gene Orloff. The involvement of notable contributors such as engineers and string players adds a refined layer to the sound, while artwork by Bob Defrin and Jim Houghton frames the record with visual flair that suits its upbeat, collective message. This 1979 pressing offers a solid opportunity to experience the album with its original energy intact. The vinyl grade here is VG+, indicating it carries the usual light surface marks and minor scuffs typical of a well-played record but nothing that should interfere significantly with playback. Whether you’re drawn to the rhythmic pulse of "Lost In Music" or the warm camaraderie of "You're A Friend To Me," this copy presents Sister Sledge’s classic in a format that’s ready to join your collection or soundtrack a lively gathering—after all, it’s hard to argue with an album that’s literally about family ties, even if your turntable’s immediate circle is a bit more selective.

Sound samples are included to help you get a feel for the music, but they may not always match the exact pressing or track version of the record listed. When in doubt, trust the photos and pressing information - that's the actual record you're buying.
