The First Of The Freemen offers a quietly compelling look into the Irish group’s acoustic approach, designed for listeners who prefer their music stripped down and thoughtfully arranged. This album invites focused attention, with a compact ensemble sound that avoids unnecessary adornment, allowing each note to resonate with clarity and intention. Its place in the band’s catalog is defined by this intimate, no-frills presentation, making it a solid choice for those who savor subtlety over spectacle. This vinyl pressing carries a VG++ grade, meaning the record is glossy and very clean, with only minor surface markings that won’t distract from the listening experience. The exact pressing details may be elusive, but the sound quality speaks clearly through the modest imperfections. It’s the kind of record that fits neatly into a collection where quiet craftsmanship is valued—a reminder that sometimes the freemen prefer to keep their voices close to the vest.
