Foreigner’s 1984 album Agent Provocateur stands out with its blend of polished rock and heartfelt balladry, highlighted by the enduring power ballad "I Want To Know What Love Is." The album balances driving tracks like "Reaction To Action" with more introspective moments such as "That Was Yesterday," showcasing the band’s knack for combining arena-ready hooks with focused, acoustic-driven arrangements. With production from Alex Sadkin and band members Mickey Jones and Mick Jones, the record benefits from a clear, detailed sound shaped by engineers including Jason Corsaro and Joe Ferla. Wally Badarou’s analog synthesizer adds subtle texture, proving that even rock veterans can appreciate a little keyboard diplomacy. This pressing from 1984 offers a near-mint vinyl experience, presenting the songs with exceptional clarity and minimal wear. The catalog number 81999-1-E marks it as a solid vintage issue for collectors who favor clean presentation and faithful sound. For anyone navigating classic rock shelves, Agent Provocateur is the sort of record that pairs well with a well-organized collection—no agent provocateur needed to convince you of its place. This copy’s close-to-new condition ensures it’s ready to deliver Foreigner’s blend of rock grit and melodic ambition without distraction.
